YONKERS, N.Y. -- Members of Yonkers Fire Department and employees of the City of Yonkers Water Plant saved the life of a 43-year-old man who had a heart attack and went into cardiac arrest on Wednesday morning.
Engine 310 arrived at the Water Plant around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday where the man's co-workers were performing chest compressions.
Emergency crews then used an automated external defibrillator and continued chest compressions. The man was revived and he was taken to Westchester Medical Center.
He is in good condition and resting at the hospital as of Thursday morning.
The crew of Engine 310 was Lt. Victor Rodriguez, Firefighters Thomas McKee and James Rooney and Probationary Firefighter George Kehayas.
