The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 36-year-old Michael Winchester, who has moved from Somerville Place to Linden Street in Yonkers.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Winchester as a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.” He has also been designated as a sexually violent sex offender.

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Winchester had deviate sexual intercourse and sexual contact with his two victims in August 2001. He was convicted of first-degree sodomy in September the following year and sentenced to a term of five years in state prison. The Division of Criminal Justice Services noted that pornography was involved in the crime. Winchester is now under the jurisdiction of the Yonkers City Police Department SOR Unit.
