A registered sex offender convicted of sexually abusing a teenage girl has reported a move into Westchester County.
The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 38-year-old David Santiago, who has reported a move to a residence on McLean Avenue in Yonkers.
The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Santiago as a level two threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."
According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Santiago sexually abused a 16-year-old girl in April 2004. He was convicted of sexual misconduct in July that year and sentenced to a term of six years probation and one year in jail. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Yonkers City Police Department's SOR Unit.
