The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Tuesday to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 61-year-old Steven Rubinstein, who has moved to an apartment on Bronx River Road in Yonkers.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Rubinstein as a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.”

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Rubinstein was busted by the FBI in March 2006 for the distribution of child pornography to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity. He was convicted the following month and sentenced to five years probation and 120 months in state prison. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Yonkers City Police Department SOR Unit.
