YONKERS, N.Y. -- The third annual Yonkers Film Film Festival (YoFi Fest) is expected to attract thousands of film buffs, aspiring directors, and secret movie critics from the tri-state area.
YoFi Fest, at the Riverfront Library, begins Thursday and runs through Sunday. It features more than 100 films, plus workshops, discussions, and parties.
There will be films for all ages and all tastes, as well as chances to meet professionals in the film industry.
“We’ve always worked hard to make this a world-class festival,” said YoFi Fest Executive Director Dave Steck, “but we’re especially proud of this year’s lineup and think it’s going to be the best one yet.”
Mayor Mike Spano said “YoFi Fest is a wonderful way to support new artists and explore creative ideas by providing a stage for talented filmmakers to showcase their work.
Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased online One, three or four day passes are available for purchase.
Films include features, shorts, animation, documentaries, and music videos.
Workshops include speed networking and topics such as story boards and comedy.
