New York state has made great strides in reducing its uninsured rate for children – from 8 percent to less than 6 percent – since the NY State of Health opened for business. However, roughly 16 percent of young adults in New York are uninsured, and the uninsured rate among young Hispanics, ages 18-34, is 26 percent.  This event is being hosted by the Children Youth & Families Task Force of Healthcare for All New York and is supported by a grant from The Atlantic Philanthropies.
