On Monday, April 22, the hospital will host a groundbreaking ceremony on its new 252,000-square-foot, nine-story Outpatient Care Center that will be constructed at the corner of Maple and Longview avenues, next to the Center for Cancer Care.

According to the hospital, “the building is one of the most significant additions to the Hospital’s ongoing campus transformation and is one of the largest healthcare projects currently underway in Westchester County.

The future facility will house new operating rooms, endoscopy suites, cutting edge imaging, wound care provided in hyperbaric chambers, and specialty physician practices including orthopedics, spine, maternal-fetal medicine, neurosurgery, and a Heart and Vascular Center.

“Patients will enjoy ease and convenience for accessing outpatient procedures. The facility joins the Center for Cancer Care and more than 28 satellite centers and offices to make state-of-the-art healthcare available to everyone in the community, outside of the Hospital’s four walls.”

Work on the project is expected to be finished by the spring of 2021. It is expected to bring a nine percent growth in new jobs over a four-year period and will be home to 450 jobs when it is completed.
