A treadmill brand is being recalled over concerns it could pose a safety hazard.

The recall affects more than 7,000 treadmills made by Nautilus, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

At issue is a defect that could lead the machines to start on their own, posing a fall hazard, CPSC said.

So far, Nautilus has received 21 reports of the machines turning on by themselves. No injuries have been reported.

The affected units are labeled with model number T616 and serial numbers 100672PRO21140001 through 100672PRO21171980, and with model number T618 and serial numbers 100647PRO21130111 through 100647PRO21183960.

They were sold at Best Buy, Walmart, and other retailers nationwide between April and November 2021, according to CPSC.

Nautilus said consumers should immediately stop using the recalled treadmills and contact the company for a free USB flash drive that contains a software upgrade.

“Nautilus will automatically ship the USB flash drive and instructions at no cost to customers who purchased the treadmills directly from Nautilus,” the company said. “The instructions will direct consumers to plug the flash drive into the USB port on the treadmill to upload the software upgrade.”

Consumers can contact Nautilus at 1-800-266-2108 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or visit the company's website
