White Plains High Seniors Awarded Jandon Scholarships

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. --The Westchester County Board of Legislators, in collaboration with the Jandon Foundation, recently awarded the Jandon Scholarship to three seniors at White Plains High School.

The winning students were Maria Angelica Garcia, Alisa Choubay and Reyna Chavarria and they will attend Mercy College, Fordham University and SUNY/Cobleskill, respectively. Each student received $12,000, which will be awarded throughout their four-year college careers.

Jandon Scholarships are awarded to academic achievers who meet established guidelines of financial eligibility. Recipients must show evidence of good character and have excellent SAT scores, academic records and involvement in extracurricular activities.
