State Trooper Hospitalized After Crash On I-87 In Westchester

YONKERS, N.Y — A crash near Costco and Stew Leonards in Yonkers Jan. 8 sent a state trooper and a New City man to the hospital, reports News 12.

Police said the officer was going north around 9:30 a.m., then made a U-turn to head south on Interstate 87, according to News 12 Westchester.

A Honda came out of an EZ-Pass lane on the southbound side of the Thruway and struck the trooper’s vehicle, reports News 12 Westchester

The driver of the Honda, 31, is facing a traffic violation. The trooper and the New City man were sent to the hospital with minor injuries.
