Patterson Fire Department Finances Get Federal Scrutiny

PATTERSON, N.Y. -- Federal officials have launched an investigation into the finances of the Patterson Fire Department, according to a report on lohud.com.

The Patterson Town Board acknowledged the probe earlier this week, and the newly elected town supervisor, Richard Williams, said there is little oversight as to how the private nonprofit group, which contracts with the town for fire protection, spends taxpayer dollars, lohud reported.
