WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The death of a woman found this weekend in an apartment with an infant at 312 Main St. was ruled a homicide Monday morning by White Plains police.
Officers responded to a report of an unresponsive woman at noon Saturday and found the body of Sabrina Durrah, 35, laying across the floor in apartment 3H. Police were calling it a "suspicious death" over the weekend. An initial medical examiner's report prompted the department to label it a homicide Monday.
Police found a 4-month-old girl in the apartment as well.
"That infant has been taken to an area hospital," said Chong. "The infant is in good shape. She was dehydrated but is doing okay."
Detectives are following up on "numerous leads," according to Chong. Anyone who saw Durrah before Saturday afternoon is asked to call the detectives unit at (914) 422-6217. All calls will be kept confidential.
