WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- White Plains police called to break up an early morning scuffle Saturday said they became suspicious when one of the fighters stuck his hands down his pants en route to headquarters. Officers said they found 40 bags of crack cocaine stuffed inside the 20-year-old Yonkers man's boxers.
An officer called for backup after watching Carliss Butler knock an Elmsford man to the ground and punch his face, according to police reports. Both men were arrested at East Post Road and Mamaroneck Avenue. They were charged with disorderly conduct, a violation.
Police said they saw Butler slip his handcuffed hands into his pants and try to conceal a bag containing a white rock in his fist. Later, police said, they fished out 5.8 grams of what appeared to be crack cocaine from his underwear.
Butler was also charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies.

- After Wicked Wolf Tavern staff members kicked out a Clarkstown, N.Y., man for pushing women, police said, Kevin Kruse, 32, mouthed off to an officer asking him to leave the area, saying, "Do you have a God complex or something?"
Kruse caught the police's attention when he was escorted out of the Mamaroneck Avenue bar for a second time and began fighting bouncers at 1:23 a.m. Saturday, according to police reports. Officers said he talked back when asked to leave the area and told police he was an assistant district attorney, which The Daily White Plains was unable to confirm.
Police said Kruse acquired a few scratches on his head while fighting being handcuffed. At headquarters, police reports indicate, he refused to get out of the squad car, charged an officer trying to bring him inside and ultimately had to be carried into the building.
Kruse was charged with disorderly conduct, a violation; and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.
