RYE, N.Y. -- Several dozen people braved the chill at Rye's Oakland Beach on Friday as they took part in the 13th annual Ray's Polar Plunge, according to a report on News 12 Hudson Valley.

The annual wintry swim in the waters of Long Island Sound is a fundraiser for the Challenged Athlete's Foundation and ALS research, News 12 reported.
