A non-specific bomb threat made to a Berkeley College campus forced the college to close all of its campuses for several hours, including its Westchester campus.

The well-known college has campuses in Manhattan and Brooklyn, as well as four in New Jersey, and in White Plains at 99 Church St.

According to Berkeley spokeswoman Ilene Greenfield, a call was received around 7:45 a.m. Friday at the Woodland, N.J., campus with the caller making an unspecific bomb threat.

"As a precaution, the decision was made to close all campuses and contact local law enforcement authorities," Greenfield said.

She added that all students and faculty were evacuated and law enforcement from the different cities where campuses are located were searched.

As of 11 a.m., all campuses had reopened and Friday's afternoon and evening classes will be held as scheduled, she added.

"I can't confirm that nothing (any device) was found," she said.

The school sent out a tweet at 9:06 a.m. alerting students of the emergency: "Due to an emergency all campuses will be closed this morning until further notice."
