It is the seventh consecutive year Bernard Krooks has been recognized for this honor. Selection to the list is based on a peer-review survey comprising more than four million confidential evaluations by attorneys throughout the country. The survey is conducted by Best Lawyers, a guide to legal excellence in the U.S.
Krooks is a founding partner of Littman Krooks LLP with offices in New York City, White Plains and Fishkill; he is chair of its elder law and special needs department.
He is past president of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Special Needs Alliance, past Chair of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys Tax Section, and past chair of the Elder Law Section of the New York State Bar Association.
Krooks also recently was appointed president-elect of Arc of Westchester.
