Tiru Chabba, a 45-year-old father of two, was one of the men killed in the incident that happened just before noon on Thursday, April 17.

Chabba, a resident of Greenville, South Carolina, was on the FSU campus in his role regional vice president of Aramark Collegiate Hospitality, a campus vendor when 20-year-old FSU student Phoenix Ikner opened fire shortly before noon.

The other fatal victim has been ID'd as Robert Morales, age 57, a high school football coach who worked at FSU's dining services department. Six others who were hospitalized are expected to make full recoveries, officials said.

Chabba is also survived by his wife.

Chabba's family has enlisted the services of nationally known civil rights attorney Bakari Sellers of the Strom Law Firm and managing partner Jim Bannister of Bannister, Wyatt & Stalvey "to ensure that all those who bear responsibility for this senseless act of violence are held to account."

“Tiru Chabba’s family is going through the unimaginable now,” says Sellers. “Instead of hiding Easter eggs and visiting with friends and family, they’re living a nightmare where this loving father and devoted husband was stolen from them in an act of senseless and preventable violence.”

“We ask you to keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as we fight to ensure they see justice that honors the memories of Mr. Chabba and all the victims of Thursday’s shooting.”
