Dispute Leads To Shooting In Westchester: Suspect At Large

Police are searching for a suspect after a woman was shot during a dispute in Westchester County.

The incident happened just before 10 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, at a residence on Riverview Place in Yonkers, Detective Sgt. Frank DiDomizio of the Yonkers Police Department said on Tuesday, April 15. 

Responding officers and detectives found a 39-year-old woman with a single gunshot wound to her arm. She was treated at a local hospital and is currently in stable condition, police said.

A preliminary investigation revealed the woman was shot by someone known to her following a verbal argument that escalated. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.

Yonkers Police are actively investigating and working to locate the suspect. Authorities said more information may be released as the case develops.
