Walmart’s Vice President of Produce, Dorn Wenninger, announced that the store will switch from black reusable plastic containers (RPCs) to wood-grain RCPs for all produce in all stores, as reported in Supermarket News.
Wenninger said that the wood-grain RPCs shows customers their commitment to fresh produce and their use makes shopping at Walmart a better experience. The store has already replaced the black RPCs over the past nine months, and that customers have welcomed the change, Supermarket News reported.
