Get Cyber Security Tips From Expert At White Plains Meeting

The meeting will be from 7-9 p.m. at the Westchester County Employment Center, first floor, 120 Bloomingdale Road, White Plains.

The presentation will provide an in-depth understanding of the loopholes and pitfalls of using a computer and browsing the Internet. It will decrease the likelihood of becoming a victim of the many common scams that await the uninformed user. Discover how some threats hide in unexpected places. Learn the difference between privacy and security and how to enjoy both.

Also included will be a discussion of programs that will keep users and computers safe and secure. Gostischa, who is often referred to as the Avast Antivirus Software Forum Evangelist, will point out some basic computer safety tips as well as simple procedures to increase security. 

Discover the benefits of installing Avast to protect against viruses, worms, trojans and rootkits. Also covered will be the safety and security recommendations for Android smartphones and tablet.
