Covid-19: New Deaths Reported; Here's Latest Rundown Of Cases In Sullivan, Ulster Counties

Thirteen new virus-related deaths were reported in Ulster County over the weekend, while there were none in Sullivan County as the area combats more than 2,600 active COVID-19 cases.

There have now been 203 reported COVID-19 deaths in Ulster County, where there are 2,458 active cases being monitored on Monday, Jan. 25, up slightly from 2,429 late last week.

In Sullivan, there have been 60 fatalities, with 253 COVID-19 cases under evaluation by the Department of Health.

According to the latest data from the state Department of Health, there were 23 new COVID-19 cases reported in Sullivan in the past 24 hours, with another 74 in Ulster.

A total of 241,659 COVID-19 tests have been administered in Ulster since March, resulting in a total of 8,301 positive cases. Health officials in Sullivan have seen 4,038 confirmed cases out of 75,549 tests.

Specific data about Sullivan County municipalities was not available on Jan. 25.

There were 219,538 COVID-19 tests administered in New York on Jan. 24, according to Cuomo, resulting in 12,003 positive cases for a 5.47 percent positive infection rate, which has been on the decline.

There are now 8,730 COVID-19 patients hospitalized across the state, while more than 1,500 are in ICU, and 1,005 are intubated with the virus. There were 165167 new COVID-19-related deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

Statewide, there have been 1,326,987 confirmed COVID-19 cases in New York out of 30.54 tested. There have been 34,069 virus-related deaths reported since the pandemic began.
