Mamma Musetti's Italian Café, located on Main Street in Wappingers Falls, said its final day of business will be on Friday, Feb. 26, at least for a while.

"This is not an easy decision for us," the Musetti Family said in a statement. "Covid has not hit us directly, although for many of our friends and some family it has. What it has done though, is it has affected our business."

The closing will not affect Super Bowl orders, the restaurant said, noting it will also be open for Valentine's Day.

The family added that it is not closing forever, and hopes to reopen once the pandemic has passed.

After launching in April 2019, the family said it has made many great friends and connections with their customers and thanked them for their support.

"We can’t thank the community enough for supporting us, and accepting us," the family said. We will miss you all dearly and again, we thank you."
