Breaking News: Storm Bringing Accumulating Snowfall Could Cause Slippery Travel Conditions

Snow Blankets Irvington, Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – The National Weather service is predicting 4 to 8 inches of snow will fall over the Tarrytown area Saturday with a steady temperature around 33 degrees and winds up to 28 miles per hour.

Downed tree limbs littered some roads, but Con Edison was reporting around 3 p.m. that only one customer in Tarrytown, another one Sleepy Hollow and 41 customers in East Irvington were without power.

The Irvington Public Library announced it was closing at 2:30 p.m. because of the storm. Warner Library will close at 3:30 p.m.

The snow is expected to continue into early Sunday morning, with more snow possible. The National Weather Service predicts a gradual clearing of the storm on Sunday.
