Construction Worker Seriously Injured After Falling In Foundation In Westchester
A worker was rescued after falling into an under-construction foundation in Northern Westchester. The incident happened on Monday, Nov. 25 just after 1 p.m., when the worker fell at a construction site in Chappaqua on Hardscrabble Road, according to reports. First responders quickly arrived at the scene and used a rope system to get the worker out of the foundation and into medical care, according to the Hartsdale Fire Department, which helped respond to the incident. Blaze Prompts Evacuation At Westchester Residence
A residence in Northern Westchester was evacuated after a blaze broke out inside the building. The blaze happened on Saturday, April 13 just before 7 p.m., when smoke was reported at a Chappaqua residence on Hunts Place, according to the Chappaqua Fire Department. Arriving crews from Chappaqua and the Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department quickly confirmed that everyone was out of the home before working to get the blaze under control. Dog Rescued From Icy Pond In Westchester
Volunteer firefighters in the area are being hailed as heroes for rescuing a dog that fell through the ice of a Northern Westchester pond. At around 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 7, when Pleasantville firefighters were notified that a dog named Miller was stuck in Opperman's Pond and unable to climb out. Moments later, firefighters were on the scene and using their boom truck, over the pond to safely rescue Miller, the fire department said.
