Two men were arrested after a traffic stop on the Taconic State Parkway in Dutchess County led to police finding nearly 200 bags of fentanyl and other narcotics inside their vehicle, authorities announced.
The stop happened on Wednesday, May 14, in East Fishkill, when troopers pulled over a 2021 Jeep traveling northbound on the parkway for multiple traffic violations, New York State Police said.

The Sullivan County incident happened in the town of Bethel, on State Route 17B, at around 5:45 a.m. Thursday, May 8.
Brett Stevens, 30, was walking in the roadway near Happy Avenue when he was struck by a tractor-trailer, New York State Police said. Stevens, of Bethel, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A New Jersey man was found dead on a popular hiking trail in New York’s Catskill Mountains.
Linhu Jin, 54, was found unresponsive by a group of hikers on Greene County’s Devils Path Trail in the Town of Lexington at around 6:45 p.m. Thursday, April 24, according to New York State Police.
Jin, of Palisades Park, New Jersey, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. A cause of death was not given but troopers confirmed that no foul play is suspected.
