Valenti replaces Marguerite Clarkson, who retired after serving the district for many years.

He is best known for serving as a Superintendent of Schools for more than 28 years, including in Westchester's Blind Brook-Rye and Harrison school districts. He also served as superintendent in Valley Stream and Smithtown, both districts on Long Island.

Valenti has been an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Educational Leadership Program at CUNY's Hunter College, and was an assistant dean for graduate teacher education and an adjunct professor at the College of New Rochelle.

"We are pleased to have Dr. Valenti join our team as an interim administrator with years of background in curriculum and instruction," said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Tahira Chase. "We are looking forward to having him as a part of our team."
