Newburgh House Fire Kills 2-Year-Old Boy

ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. – A house fire in the town of Newburgh killed a 2-year-old and has left several hospitalized on Friday, according to multiple media reports.

First alarm for the fire on Coach Lane was sounded just after 4 a.m. on Friday. Authorities transported 10 victims to St. Luke's Cornwall, including several police officers and firefighters, the Times Herald-Record said. 

A man that was stuck in a storm window was rescued and a woman believed to be the child's mother was hospitalized, along with several firefighters and police officers, according to News 12. The woman is said to be in extremely critical condition while the firefighters and officers are doing well, News 12 reported.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
