Mahopac Man Charged With DWI After Crash In Yorktown

A Mahopac man is facing DWI charges after a crash in Yorktown, according to police.

Yorktown Police say they responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Route 6N in Yorktown on Thursday, April 25 around 3 p.m.

Further investigation revealed that the driver, identified as 64-year-old Joseph Raitano of Mahopac, was allegedly intoxicated, according to police.

Raitano was arrested and transported to Yorktown Police Department. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor, and subsequently released on his own recognizance.

Raitano is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court Thursday, May 9.
