SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. - Victoria K. DiVico, a longtime Sleepy Hollow resident, died March 28. She was 97.
DiVico was born in North Tarrytown on Dec. 20, 1915, to Frank and Anna Chira Leslie. She was raised in Silver Lake and graduated from White Plains High School.
DiVico retired from General Motors in 1985, where she earned the distinction of being the first woman inspector on the line.
DiVico was a parishioner of St. Teresa of Avila Church and a member of the Sleepy Hollow Seniors and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aries 1042 Ladies Auxiliary.
DiVico is survived by daughter Linda (William) Petrovich of Sleepy Hollow; son, Massie (Anne) DiVico of Mamaroneck; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Massie; granddaughter, Debra Scott; brother, Joseph Leslie; sister, Helen Papalio.
Calling hours are Thursday, April 4 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Coffey Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, April 5, 10 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Church with interment to follow in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
