TARRYTOWN, N.Y. - Rita Maguire of Tarrytown died April 7. She was 91.
Maguire was born in North Tarrytown Jan. 2, 1922, to Peter and Grace (Slavin) Maguire. She worked for Mallory Battery in North Tarrytown for 38 years. She was a member of the Foley Farmerettes of North Tarrytown, a volunteer at Tarrytown Hall Care Center.
Maguire is survived by her brother, William (Jean) Maguire; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Grace M.; and brother-in-law, John Timmeny.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 10 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Dwyer & Vanderbilt, 90 N. Broadway, Tarrytown, N.Y. 10591 914-631-0621. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, April 11, at Transfiguration Church, Tarrytown. Interment to follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
