TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Irma (Di Mascio) Del Monaco, a longtime Tarrytown resident, died Monday, Jan. 18. She was 84.
She was born Jan. 31, 1931, in Petterano Sul Gizio, Italy, to Frank and Louisa Di Mascio.
On Feb. 16, 1958, she married Raffaele Del Monaco in Italy and they came to the U.S. in 1966. She was a seamstress for John Charles, LTD in Tarrytown for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Raffaele; her children Regina (Joseph) Tucci, Peter (Suzanne) Del Monaco and James (Diane) Del Monaco; grandchildren Ashley Nicole, Peter Michael, John Joseph, Briana, Alyssa, Gabriella and Nicholas; great-grandson Mason Anthony; brothers Americo and Silvano Di Mascio; and her sister Dora Del Monaco.
She was predeceased by her sisters Gina Di Mascio and Elvira Centofanti, and a brother John Di Mascio.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Coffey Funeral Home, 91 N. Broadway, Tarrytown.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 199 N. Broadway, Sleepy Hollow, with entombment to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne.
