FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Edward F. Carroll, of Fairfield, died on Sunday, Aug. 16.
Carroll was born in the Bronx, N.Y. to Edward and Mary (née Tivnan) Carroll, and was a member of the Fairfield Gaelic-American Club and the Knights of Columbus, and volunteered at St. Vincent Medical Center.
He was predeceased by his parents and daughter Regina Ogden.
Carroll is survived by his wife Kathleen (nee Byrnes), daughter Rita Tarantino and her husband Anthony of Oxford, son Edward M. and his wife Karen of Madison, Wis., son-in-law John Ogden of Monroe; seven grandchildren; sister Agnes Marvin and her husband Gerald, brother John and his wife Lucille, and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be at the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, located at Main Street and Gorham Place in Trumbull, on Friday, Aug 21 from 4 to 7 p.m.
A mass of Christian burial will be at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, located at 545 Stratfield Road in Fairfield, on Saturday, Aug. 22 at 10 a.m.
