David A. Dietz, 81, Lifelong Tarrytown Resident, Korean War Veteran

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. - David A. Dietz, a lifelong resident of Tarrytown, died May 17. He was 81.

Dietz was born Sept. 12, 1931, to Theresa and Frank Dietz. He graduated from Alexander Hamilton High School then served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Catholic War Veterans, Chapter 34 and the American Legion Post in Elmsford.

Dietz is survived by his wife, Evelyn of Tarrytown; sisters, Marie Galassi and Theresa Riley; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Frank, Richard, and Thomas; and sister, Regina.

Calling hours are Monday, May 20  from 4 to 8 p.m. at Coffey Funeral Home Inc. in Tarrytown. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 21 at Transfiguration Church. Interment follows at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
