Irvington Police Arrest 11 During Road Check

IRVINGTON, N.Y. – A vehicle safety road check by the Irvington Police Department on Tuesday netted 11 arrests, police said Wednesday.

The road check was conducted from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Route 9. Police said two people were arrested for active warrants, two people were arrested for driving a vehicle with suspended registrations, four people were arrested for driving with suspended licenses and three people were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana.

Officers also impounded eight vehicles and issued 88 summonses. The road check was coordinated by Sergeant Steven DelliColli with assistance from the Westchester County Police Department, the New York State Department of Transportation, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, the Westchester County Solid Waste Commission and Westchester County Consumer Protection Agency.
