IRVINGTON, N.Y. – Registration begins Tuesday for the kayak slips at Matthiessen Park in Irvington.
The Irvington Recreation and Parks Department will begin registration between 5 and 9 p.m. at its office at 71 Main St. Space is limited to Irvington residents, with one slip per household.
Kayak season takes place between April 15 and Oct. 15. Matthiessen Park slips cost $275 each.
Residents can register for a slip after Tuesday during regular office hours. Officials say individuals can register for a second slip after two weeks, if any slips remain open.
Residents should bring their Kayak ID, serial number or hull number, with them to register. Questions should be emailed to Joe Archino at jarchino@irvingtonny.gov.
