Chevy Chase, a Bedford resident, turns 73 on Saturday.
Chase, an actor, comedian and writer, was born Oct. 8, 1943, in New York City.
Chase was a key cast member in "Saturday Night Live's" inaugural season, where his "Weekend Update" skit and impersonations of President Gerald Ford were hits.
After "Saturday Night Live," Chase portrayed Clark Griswold in four films in the "National Lampoon's Vacation" series and starred in "Caddyshack," "Dirty Work," "Fletch," "Spies Like Us," and "¡Three Amigos!" He recently starred in "Community" on NBC.
