Anthony Scaramucci, the former White House communications director, has purchased a Cape Cod-style home in Manhasset for $3.05 million after reportedly telling Vanity Fair that he’s "not gonna be this gold chain-adorned guy driving around as a Long Island guido.”

According to realtor.com, the home first came on the market for $4.15 million last year and was still available a year later, listed for approximately $3.30 million before Scaramucci and his wife, who already owned a home in Manhasset, scooped it up.

Scaramucci’s new 6,200-square-foot home features six bedrooms, five-and-a-half bathrooms, an open kitchen several fireplaces and other amenities. The couple previously constructed a $7.5 million home in the Hamptons after selling a different beach house for approximately $4 million. The larger home is back on the market for $10 million.

A Long Island native, Scaramucci previously worked for Goldman Sachs before founding the investment firm SkyBridge Capital before his time in the White House, which lasted less than two weeks. He also made headlines when he appeared on “Celebrity Big Brother 2.”
