In a message posted on social media, Curran said that she was exposed to someone who tested positive for the virus and will be following the CDC’s guidelines and quarantining for a 10-day period.

It is unclear when or where she was exposed, though she was at public events this week. Her quarantine is expected to end on Friday, Jan. 22, provided she continues to test negative.

Curran, 53, said she “is feeling well and will be getting tested during (her) quarantine, which (began) immediately.”

According to the state Department of Health, there were 1,172 new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Nassau, with eight new virus-related deaths reported.
