It happened on Friday, Nov. 29 just before 5 a.m. in Massapequa.

According to Nassau County Police Department detectives, a 44-year-old male victim agreed to meet a female at the Budget Inn Motel at 400 Carman Mill Road, for a date.

Upon arrival, the victim was met by the female defendant, Brianna Casillas, 22, of Kenley, North Carolina, police said.

As the two entered a room at the motel, DeAnsel Flores, 22, of Amityville, came out of the bathroom.

Flores had the handle to a machete sticking out of his waistband and stated to the victim “Give me your money and get out,” according to police.

The victim handed him an undisclosed amount of cash and left the room before calling 911.

Police officers arrived at the motel and placed both Casillas and Flores under arrest without further incident.

Casillas and Flores have both been charged with first- and second-degree robbery. They are scheduled to be arraigned on Saturday, Nov. 30 at First District Court in Hempstead.
