Video: Man Wanted For Burglarizing Huntington Station Church

Suffolk County Police investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in tracking down a suspect who targeted a church in Huntington Station.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who burglarized a Huntington Station church last month.

Investigators released surveillance video of a man who faced open a locked door at the Huntington Assembly of God on new York Avenue at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20.

Police said that once inside, the alarm sounded and the burglar fled the church without making off with any cash or proceeds.

In the video, the suspect, wearing a hat and lightly colored clothes can be seen canvassing the church, peering into a back room before walking off. No other information was provided by police.

A reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest has been offered by the Suffolk County Crime Stoppers. Anyone with information regarding the robbery or who recognizes the suspects has been asked to contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS or texting “SCPD” and the message to 274637.
