It happened around 9:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6 in Freeport, Nassau County Police said.

According to detectives, a male victim, 31, was outside his home when he observed two men walking up his driveway toward his house.

The victim then approached the two men, who both pointed handguns at the victim and entered his home.

While inside the residence, the victim was restrained and instructed to lie on the living room floor, according to police.

At that point, one of the suspects forced his way into a bedroom and removed a 51-year-old female victim, while displaying a handgun and instructed her to also lie on the living room floor.

One suspect stayed with the victims while the other subject searched the home for cash, police said.

As the suspects were searching the house, a 41-year-old male victim arrived home and observed both victims on the living room floor.

The man immediately fled to a neighbor’s house to call the police and both suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The subjects were described as black men wearing black ski masks and all-black clothing.

The victims were not injured and the investigation is ongoing. No items were reported missing.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
