Two Hospitalized After Crash At Busy Intersection In Smithtown

Two people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash at a busy intersection in Suffolk County.

The crash occurred just before 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 1 at Franklin Drive and Middle County Road in Smithtown, according to the Smithtown Fire Department.

When firefighters arrived it was reportedly determined that no one was trapped inside the vehicle, said the fire department.

The injured two were transported to area hospitals, the department said. The extent of their injuries was not immediately released.
