Three Injured, One Critically, In Two-Vehicle Crash On Busy Long Island Roadway

Three were hospitalized on Long Island when a box truck crashed into a van, leaving one person with critical injuries, police said.

Nassau County Police detectives said that a 27-year-old man was driving a box truck east on Old Northern Boulevard near Tatterson Street in Roslyn at 4:49 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14 when he struck a Ford van in the intersection.

A 32-year-old passenger in the van and the driver of the box truck both suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The driver of the van, a 36-year-old man was also transported to an area hospital in critical condition, suffering from a head injury, broken ribs, and a severe laceration to his left elbow. He was listed in stable condition early on Thursday, April 15.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
