Suspects At Large After Robbery Of 14-Year-Old On Long Island

A pair of suspects are at large after a robbery of a 14-year-old on Long Island.

The incident happened on Friday, Aug. 16 at around 12:30 p.m. in Franklin Square, Nassau County Police said.

According to detectives, the teen victim was riding his bike in the vicinity of 639 Hempstead Turnpike when he was approached by a newer model Gray Volkswagen Jetta. 

Two unknown males exited the vehicle and shoved him to the ground. One subject then took the victim’s bike and rode westbound on Hempstead Turnpike. Another subject returned to the car, which was driven by another subject, and fled eastbound on Hempstead Turnpike.

One subject is described as a black male, approximately 15-16 years old and was wearing a black doo-rag. The second subject is described as an older male black with a mustache. A description of the driver of the vehicle is not available.

This incident is under investigation.
