Suspect On Loose After Armed Robbery At Long Island Bank

A suspect is on the loose after an armed bank robbery on Long Island.

It happened just before 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21 in Valley Stream.

The suspect, an unidentified bank entered the TD Bank located at 275 West Merrick Road, approached a teller and demanded money while displaying a firearm, according to Nassau County Police detectives.

The suspect received an undisclosed amount of currency and fled the bank on foot eastbound, police said. 

Seven employees and three customers were in the bank at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.

The subject is described as being black, 5-foot-6 with an average build. He was wearing a red mask, dark hooded jacket, cargo pants and gloves.
