Suspect Nabbed For Homicide After Man Found Dead On Residential Long Island Street

A suspect has been charged with homicide after a man was found dead on a residential Long Island street.

Nassau County Police First Precinct officers responded to the vicinity of 17 Walton Ave. in Uniondale for a report of a man lying in the street just after 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30.

The man, identified as 27-year-old Jesus Martinez, of Uniondale, was pronounced dead by a Nassau County Police medic.

On Tuesday, Aug. 23, police announced Oscar Rios Perez, age 37, of Uniondale, has been arrested and charged with second-degree homicide.

He was scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday, Feb. 23 in Mineola.
