Suspect At Large After Victim Hospitalized In Long Island Shooting

A suspect is at large after a person was shot overnight on Long Island.

It happened around 1:15 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 in Uniondale.

Officers responded to a call for a male shot on Greengrove Avenue. Upon arrival officers located a male victim with a gunshot wound to his left ankle,  Nassau County Police said.

The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival on foot southbound on Greengrove Avenue. The subject is described as a black male with dark clothing. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
