Suspect At Large After Suffolk County Home Burglary

Detectives on Long Island are investigating a burglary that occurred over the weekend, leaving a dozen motorcycles damaged, police said.

The Nassau County Police Department issued an alert warning that between 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, and 8:15 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 27, there was a burglary on Centre Island Road in Centre Island.

According to police, a suspect caused damage to a garage door and entered a Centre Island Road home. Once inside, it was determined that 12 motorcycles and a home office were all damaged.

The investigation into the alleged burglary is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding the incident has been asked to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-220-TIPS.
