Shell Casings Found After Shots Fired On Long Island Street

Police are asking the public for help after locating two shell casings on a Long Island street following a call for shots fired.

The incident took place around 1:50 a.m., Monday, July 19, on Grand Avenue near the border of South Hempstead and Baldwin.

According to Nassau County Police detectives, officers responded to a call for shots fired in front of 1177 Grand Ave. Upon arrival, officers recovered two shell casings from the street.

There were no injuries or property damage reported. The investigation is ongoing.
