Police are searching for two men who allegedly robbed a man at gunpoint in West Hempstead.

The incident took place around 12:39 a.m., Saturday, March 7, on the corner of South Cherry Valley Avenue and Henry Street, said Nassau County Police.

According to detectives, a 32-year-old male victim was approached from behind by two unknown men who stuck what was believed to be a gun in the back of the victim while both men forcibly yanked gold chains off of his neck.

The men then fled southbound on South Cherry Valley Avenue in a black 4-door sedan.

The victim was not injured.

The subjects are described as being black males with medium builds. Both were wearing black hooded sweatshirts.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding the robbery contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or call 911.
